Felipe da Silva from the Cobra Brasil team achieved a commendable tenth place at the 2023 Wheelchair Basketball World Championship

From June 9th to 20th, the Wheelchair Basketball World Championship was held in the United Arab Emirates at the Dubai World Trade Centre Halls, hosting over 300 players from 28 teams (16 male and 12 female). The Brazilian men’s team included our colleague, Felipe da Silva, who has been part of the Cobra Brasil team for over four years and was selected to represent Brazil in this major global wheelchair basketball event. Among their opponents, Brazil faced the World Cup runner-up England, the Olympic runner-up China, and the champions from USA-Canada, Spain, and Australia. The Brazilian team performed excellently in both strategy and defense and, after twelve days of competition, achieved a commendable tenth place in the world rankings.
